I ONCE WAS BLIND, BUT NOW I SEE

Greetings Gentle person,

I remember the days when I would laugh and make fun of people worshipping God. The Praise the Lord shouts, and screams followed by seemingly funny body movements were comedy to me as I truly was unfamiliar to the omnipotence of God.

As a young man I remember watching episodes of the classic television show Sanford & Son. Legendary actress LaWanda Page known best as the character "Aunt Esther", would always enter her scenes with "PRAISE THE LORD, HALLELUJAH."

I would look at Esther like she was the annoying Aunt of Lamont Sanford. I would laugh at Esther with an undercurrent of being annoyed by her presence in the show. I once was blind, but now I see! In my life journey, I was forced to go to church as a child and could never understand why the assembly of saints was so important.

I did not like Sunday school or the 45 min long, slow singing, boring Lutheran church service. I could not wait to leave every sunday. I was in church physically, but mentally checked out.

I once was blind, but now I see. Fast forward unto today....I am clearly not that same person, and this God given conversion journey of understanding was not by choice. God knew exactly what to say to make me think, what life events I needed to walk through and exactly the level of supernatural events I had to see, to know that the spirit realm is real. I have not arrived at the Holiest of Holies, but I do serve the Father, Son and Holy Spirit to the best of my ability each day.

It's crazy at how cool I felt going half on the dub sack, drinking like a fish in an ocean of alcohol, hollering at this girl, and lying to that lady, just to have my way.

YES TRULY, I have fallen short of God's glory even after being saved by his grace. I once was blind, but now I see. What I have seen over time is scripture coming to life, and in today's world like never before. What I see is people waking up unto Gods truth, BUT it is evident that there are many people today comfortably mocking the gospel, verbally and often physically persecuting those who speak Gods word. The yolk is light, but the burden is heavy. I have posted a few scriptures below that will assist in what I mean by "Scripture coming to life"

In my journey God is always reminding me that "When they Hate you remember, they hated me first!"  Read John 15:18-19

2 Timothy 3:1-5

3 But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days.People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God— having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people.

Matthew 24:12

12 Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold,

2 Peter 3:3-4

3 Above all, you must understand that in the last days scoffers (Mockers) will come, scoffing and following their own evil desires. They will say, “Where is this ‘coming’ he promised?Ever since our ancestors died, everything goes on as it has since the beginning of creation.”

Lord come into me, guide my every step, renew my mind, body and soul to reflect the loving light of you.  Words carry power, and may the power of what you just spoke unto God, shield you always.

May those of us that are blind, begin to see and those of us that see, see more, be changed and boldly let Gods light outpour. Peace be with you all.

Proverbs 18:21

The tongue has the power of life and death,
and those who love it will eat its fruit.
